Birmingham City striker Lukas Jutkiewicz is delighted with the way the team are playing right now but insists that they can still improve a lot.

A 2-1 victory over Luton on Saturday made it three wins from four games, leaving Pep Clotet's side just two points away from the play-offs.

Whilst the results have been great, performances are picking up considerably too. However, speaking to the official site, the target man revealed that he thinks there's more to come and outlined the importance of Blues picking up more points on the road.

"We’ve created a lot more chances than we have previously and hopefully we can start picking up more points away from home but it’s a start, for sure.

"From the outside, you don’t see the work that has gone into it. It doesn’t just happen overnight. It is something we have to work on in training and will have to continue to work on because we are nowhere near where we want to be.

Blues are back in action this weekend when they take on Cardiff City in the Welsh capital.

The verdict

This is a great message from Jutkiewicz and the fans should love it because it proves that the team aren't satisfied with how they have done in the past few weeks.

Instead, they want more and that's the sort of attitude that the players will need to have if they are going to finish in the top six.

And, Jutkiewicz is right to identify the away form as an area of weakness because they need to get that right and if they do they have a real chance of causing a shock this season.
