Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish is being lined up by Leicester City to replace the outgoing Rihyad Mahrez, according to a report by Talksport.

The Foxes, who are looking set to lose their star Algerian midfielder to Manchester City, are reportedly keen on adding Grealish to their squad as they seek to replace their star man and add more quality to the squad with the funds raised from the Mahrez sale.

Grealish, who is valued at around the £40m mark by his club, is widely expected to move on this summer after a standout season in the Championship failed to lead to promotion back to the Premier League.

Villa, who are being constrained by FFP rules, will need to offload some of their assets this summer to balance the books, and owner Tony Xia will know that selling Grealish represents a big opportunity to fill a big part of that financial void.

The young midfielder came into his own in the second half of the season as he led the Villains into the playoff final, before coming up short against Fulham at Wembley.

Grealish is highly thought of by management and fans at Villa Park, but will be hard pressed to turn down a move to the top flight if a club can meet Villa's evaluation.

Villa fans, what do you think? Would you sell? Let us know in the comments!
