Aston Villa have come a long way since the summer financially when it looked as though the club was seriously on the brink.
Indeed, after a takeover they now seem much more financially sound and it would appear that the Villans are looking to get themselves back into the Premier League this season.
Wes Edens and co. deserve credit, then, and it seems as though Edens is ready to try and expand his portfolio further with another football club.
Indeed, according to Reuters, Edens’ investment group has launched a bid to try and buy Danish side FC Copenhagen.
Edens is one of the richest owners in the English game and it is clear that he wants to expand into European football.
Modern owners tend to have more than one club, too, so it’d be no surprise to see this one happen.
It’s clear Edens is a serious business man and it’d be interesting to see if this takeover does come off given the size of Villa and Copenhagen in terms of Danish football.
Will we see transfers between the pair? Or will the two remain pretty independent of each other – we’ll soon see if any deal does go through.
