Kevin Feely has joined Newport County on a permanent basis following a loan spell this season, BBC reports.
21-year-old defender was one of the players released from Charlton last week and after initially rejecting the Exiles’ offer, he has now signed a two-year deal. He failed to make a first-team appearance for Charlton since joining them in 2013.
Justin Edinburgh told the club’s website: “I am delighted he has agreed to sign. I spoke to Kevin on several occasions and told him he was part of my plans for the future of the club.
“He expressed his appreciation and certainly enjoyed his time here on loan. It has been a busy time for the lad and it was good for him to see family and friends in Ireland before making a decision.”
Feely played ten games for the Rodney Parade club scoring one goal.
