Portsmouth boss Kenny Jackett has issued a squad injury update following his side's 3-0 victory over Rochdale which they will now aim to build on against Rotherham in midweek.

Ronan Curtis scored a brace while Ryan Williams also found the net for the south-coast side as they sealed a third successive win in all competitions against the Dale, with this meaning Pompey are now up to 11th in the League One table.

They will now be looking to continue their positive run of form against the Millers on Tuesday evening, and Jackett has now confirmed there are no fresh injury concerns within his squad ahead of the match.

Speaking to the Portsmouth club website, Jackett provided the positive injury news ahead of their next meeting, while he also provided updates on the club's injured trio in Sean Raggett, Ross McCrorie and Tom Naylor.

“There are no injuries from the weekend, which is pleasing. We’ll be working with the same group of players," he said.

"Sean Raggett is the first one back and he has a chance of being fit for the Altrincham game on Saturday. For Ross McCrorie and Tom Naylor, the Peterborough match the following weekend is a more realistic target."

The Verdict

Portsmouth finally look set to build a positive run of form following an indifferent start to the campaign, and this latest injury update will give further reason for optimism on the south coast.

It seems as though this injured trio will be back in action within the next two weeks, which means it is possible that Jackett could have a fully-fit squad to choose from in the very near future.

Naylor has been a particularly big loss for Portsmouth given his importance to the side previously, but the fact he will be back in time for the festive period is excellent news for Pompey.
