Kenny Jackett has stated that loanee Steve Seddon has made a big difference when it comes to Portsmouth’s ability to score from set-pieces.
The left-back has managed to pick up two assists in quick succession with the latest being one to set up Christian Burgess’ winning goal join the weekend at Bolton.
It was an important strike for Pompey and now they have a great opportunity at breaking into the top six come the end of the campaign.
Jackett has expressed the delivery of the full-back has made a massive difference to the side, as it has now seen defenders be able to have a say on the final outcome of the game but at the attacking end of the pitch.
Speaking to the Portsmouth News, Jackett said: “Seddon’s delivery has made a difference.
“If you look at Fleetwood, there was a goal (from a corner), and on Saturday from Seddon’s wide free-kick there’s a goal, so that’s one quite obvious reason for how it has changed.”

Jackett has had a lot of stick from the start of the season but now he’s found almost his starting XI and system, Portsmouth are flying.
One of those players come as Seddon and he’s been brilliant throughout the games that he’s played. The loan signing seems to have made a massive difference with his delivery into the box and all of these goals could be crucial come May.
Portsmouth now have to keep this consistency and keep their crucial players fit. They’ve struggled a lot with injuries throughout the season and they have to make sure that these injuries don’t end up derailing their season. The top six is in touching distance and there’s no reason why they can’t get there.
