"It’s an excellent home run that we’re enjoying and the link between the team and the supporters is excellent. It’s much appreciated."

A seven-game winning run at Fratton Park in the league has lifted the club straight into play-off contention as they now sit fifth in the table with a game in hand on most of the teams above them.

The automatic promotion spots are only five points away as Pompey eye a return to the Championship.

The Verdict

The Portsmouth side have given their fans something to shout about in recent weeks after some excellent performances at Fratton Park.

Jackett wants his side to go out and play expansive football as they look to earn promotion back to the second tier after their struggles in recent years and the fans are backing what Pompey are trying to achieve.

Their run of good form at home could be enough to pull the south coast club into the automatic spots come May.
