Bolton Wanderers' financial crisis is evidently worsening and it's seemingly having an impact on the results on the pitch as the Trotters continue to struggle in the Championship.

Phil Parkinson's side are currently sat 23rd in the table and are in real danger heading towards the conclusion of this year's campaign.

The Bolton News have recently revealed that the club's training ground was completely closed yesterday due to a food and supplies shortage which will certainly disrupt their plans ahead of their game this weekend.

There have been reports from Sky Sports that Ken Anderson has been in talks regarding a potential takeover of the club, but they haven't reached a conclusion as of yet.

But when Sky Sports and talkSPORT presenter Jim White tried to contact the Bolton owner over the financial crisis of the club, he revealed that he couldn't talk due to him watching the Steel City derby with friends.

The Bolton News reporter, Marc Iles broke the news on his Twitter page, and it's safe to say that this only strengthens the hatred from Bolton fans towards Ken Anderson.

They have every reason to feel frustrated this season, as they would have fancied their chances in retaining their status as a Championship club if they had the financial backing from Anderson.

But with Anderson just making the club's financial position far worse than it already was, it's difficult to see the Trotters being able to even put up a fight to battle against relegation.

Phil Parkinson's side travel to The Den to take on relegation rivals, Millwall at the weekend in what is a must-win game for Bolton.

The Verdict:

What an absolute joke this is.

Ken Anderson may as well be laughing in the face of all of the Bolton supporters here.

They couldn't have anyone at the training ground on Monday due to a food shortage for goodness sake!

His priorities are all wrong.
