Leeds United are set to be handed a welcome injury boost, with Kemar Roofe seemingly edging closer to a return to action.
The forward has been sidelined for a number of weeks after picking up a knee ligament injury in their win over Swansea earlier this year.
Roofe has taken to Instagram to issue an update on his recovery process, and it’s certain to go down well with Leeds United supporters.
Roofe will be hoping that he can force his way back into the starting XI after a promising first-half of this year’s league campaign.
The former Oxford United striker has 14 goals this season, and has been their main attacking outlet this season as the Whites challenge for promotion to the Premier League.
Without Roofe’s contribution, the Yorkshire based club wouldn’t be in promotion contention that’s for sure.
He faces stiff competition for a starting spot in Bielsa’s squad though, with Patrick Bamford staking a strong claim to keep Roofe out of the starting XI.
It remains to be seen as to whether Roofe will be back in contention for their game against Millwall this weekend, but Marcelo Bielsa and the Leeds supporters will be hoping he can return at the earliest of opportunities to help aid their promotion bid.
This is a huge boost to Leeds’ promotion chances.
Roofe has been a crucial member of Marcelo Bielsa’s squad and he will be hoping that he can hit the ground running when he returns to action.
If he can find his feet quickly, then I can see him firing the Whites to a long-awaited promotion to the Premier League.
