Leeds United striker Kemar Roofe has played a training ground prank on teammate Leif Davis as the Whites prepare for their play-off semi-final second-leg against Derby County.
Sharing the video to his Instagram story, Roofe shows the young defender getting his breakfast before training, unaware that a piece of mangled bread has been placed sneakily on his shoulder.
Writing alongside the video, Roofe said: “He must still be sleeping.”
Both he and Leif are currently sidelined with injury and will play no part as Marcelo Bielsa’s side welcome Derby to Elland Road with a 1-0 aggregate lead from Saturday’s first leg.
After a closely thought first half at Pride Park, Leeds took the lead just before the hour mark when Jack Harrison’s excellent pass was slotted home by Kemar Roofe.
The visitors survived immense pressure, some penalty controversy and got away with a red-card decision before the final whistle finally blew.
In the other semi-final it was Aston Villa who took the advantage into their second-leg against West Brom after triumphing 2-1 at Villa Park.
You have got to admire the mental toughness of Roofe to not allow his injury problems to get him down.
But whatever way you look at it, he will be a big loss to Leeds on Wednesday night.
It also puts a lot of pressure on the shoulders of Patrick Bamford, who has not exactly been a fan favourite at Elland Road this season.
