It has been a difficult few weeks for Leeds United, with the club yet to announce a successor to Garry Monk, who unexpectedly quit as the club’s head-coach last month, despite enjoying a successful 12-months at Elland Road.

Following Monk’s resignation Leeds’ supporters were gutted, and his recent appointment as Middlesbrough’s new manager, has seen the relationship between the two sour very quickly.

After guiding Leeds to seventh in the Sky Bet Championship last season, it seemed that Monk was the man to lead the Whites from the wilderness and back to the Premier League for the first time since 2004.

However, the 38-year-old’s decision to leave and take up a new role at Middlesbrough has not been well received by his former club’s fans.

Following Monk’s first press conference as Boro’s manager, he took to social media to post a picture of himself alongside the club’s crest.

As expected Monk’s post has not been greeted well by Leeds’ supporters, here is some reaction…

Leeds fans… What do you make of Monk’s decision? Let us know your thoughts!
