Birmingham City have made a strong start to life under John Eustace's stewardship and they will be ambitious about what the rest of this Championship campaign could entail.

The Blues currently sit 13th in the second tier standings, however, they are a mere three points from the play-off positions.

The winter transfer window is now just a month away and it will be interesting to see how busy of a window it will be at St Andrew's.

Here, we take a look at three current Birmingham players who could be involved in January transfer activity...

George Hall

George Hall could earn himself a Premier League move when the January transfer window opens its door, with the teenager impressing on the first-team stage.

As per a report from Football Insider, Leeds United are preparing a £3 million-plus bid for the 18-year-old, continuing to keep an eye on him after a failed summer move.

Hall has featured 17 times in the Championship this season, predominantly from the bench, adapting well to the rigours of Championship football.

Dion Sanderson

The Blues are looking into the possibility of securing a permanent deal for Dion Sanderson, with the 22-year-old enjoying a productive loan stint at St Andrew's thus far, as per a report from the Daily Mail.

His parent club Wolves have previously rejected a seven-figure approach for the young defender, meaning it may be a difficult deal for the Championship club to complete.

Sanderson has played 20 of Birmingham's 21 league games thus far this season, playing every minute in each of those matches.

Przemyslaw Placheta

Przemyslaw Placheta haș spent a large chunk of his loan spell at Birmingham injured and whilst he has put in some strong performances when available, Birmingham could opt to cut his loan short.

This is because Emmanuel Longelo has looked very good at left wing-back in more recent weeks and Placheta's potential return could open the loan market up again for the Blues.

It remains to be seen how long Placheta is expected to be out for, with there certainly being scope for his departure to be sanctioned.
