Sheffield Wednesday manager Jos Luhukay will be hoping for a busy end to the window as he looks to improve his squad ahead of the new season.

The Owls are yet to make any serious additions and have already moved on Jack Hunt, who went to Bristol City, and Jordan Rhodes who completed a season-long loan move to Norwich.

Yet, the former Gladbach boss will be looking for quality to replace those players and won't be signing new faces for the sake of it as Wednesday already have a big squad.

Therefore, more players could be out the door in the coming weeks as the manager seeks a more balanced group to work with.

Here we look at THREE players whose career with the Yorkshire club remains in the balance...

This may be surprising to many, but the Owls have two talented young goalkeepers ready to come through in Cameron Dawson and Joe Wildsmith.

So, with Westwood's age, wage and injury problems, they may consider cashing in on the stopper to give the younger lads a chance.

The experienced midfielder has struggled to make an impact in the past 12 months and Luhukay would surely consider moving him on.

However, whether they can find a club that will make a suitable offer remains to be seen, so the manager may decide to keep the player who can be a good influence around the place and has won promotion at this level before.

The Portuguese forward is talented but has had struggled to get regular games for the Owls since joining three years ago.

With a year left on his deal, Luhukay is left in a tricky position. Does he cash in at what would be a cut price? Or should he give the 29-year-old a chance to play a part as he has the ability to make an impact.
