As Huddersfield Town sit third in the Sky Bet Championship, the West Yorkshire side have continued to defy all odds to still have a chance of automatic promotion.

One of the main reasons for Huddersfield's success has been the manager, David Wagner, who has shown that he is not only an excellent man motivator but also an astute operator in the transfer market.

The introduction of thirteen players in the summer showed that the West Yorkshire side badly needed a major overhaul and David Wagner was entrusted to make that change.

In the summer, David Wagner may feel that a further overhaul is needed.

If Wagner does decide to shape the squad even further that could mean some players currently out on loan or on the peripheries of the squad will have their future decided for them.

FLW writer Elliott Wheat-Bowen looks at three Huddersfield players who David Wagner will need to make a decision about to either keep them or axe them.

Kyle Dempsey

After an excellent season with Carlisle United, Kyle Dempsey was attracting the attention of a number of Championship sides including Huddersfield Town.

Huddersfield Town won the race for the 21-year-old central midfielder and in his debut season with the West Yorkshire side, Kyle Dempsey made over twenty appearances in the Championship.

However, this season, Kyle Dempsey's opportunities for regular first team football have become extremely limited which is why David Wagner allowed Dempsey to leave the club on loan in search of regular first team football.

Kyle Dempsey joined Fleetwood Town who have gone on to challenge for automatic promotion with Kyle Dempsey playing a big part in their success.

In the summer, David Wagner will have a decision to make: either to keep Kyle Dempsey and utilise him more often or allow the 21-year-old midfielder to leave on a permanent basis.

Harry Bunn

After being one of Huddersfield Town's most consistent performers last season, this season Harry Bunn has struggled to replicate his form.

One of the reasons for this has been the permanent arrival of Rajiv van La Parra from Wolves which saw Harry Bunn's place in the first team come under serious threat.

This season, Harry Bunn has been used sparingly by David Wagner mainly as a substitute or in the cup competitions, as he has fallen down the pecking order behind the Dutch winger.

Rajiv van La Parra's versatility and adaptability to play in David Wagner's fluent system has seen him as the preferred option over Harry Bunn.

In the summer, Harry Bunn may feel that it is time to leave Huddersfield Town in search of regular first team football.

David Wagner will have the decision to make either to allow Bunn to leave or keep him if he feels that he still has a part to play in the squad.

Flo Bojaj

One of the brightest prospects in Huddersfield Town's academy is Albanian striker Flo Bojaj.

Bojaj joined Huddersfield Town from Boreham Wood in the summer of the 2013/14 season.

Since making the move to the West Yorkshire side, Bojaj has steadily progressed through the academy system before he was promoted to the first team set-up.

The 20-year-old centre forward has made just eight Championship appearances for Huddersfield Town since breaking through into the senior side.

This season, David Wagner has allowed Flo Bojaj to leave the club temporarily in search of regular first team football.

Flo Bojaj has spent two separate loan spells at Kilmarnock and Newport County.

Although Flo Bojaj is still in the early stages of his career, the Albanian centre forward may feel that he has a bigger role to play than he has been given.

David Wagner will have to decide in the summer whether to keep Bojaj at the club or whether he will allow him to leave.
