Aston Villa are slowly beginning to find some form in the Championship and after their comfortable 2-0 away win against Wigan this weekend, things are finally beginning to look up for Steve Bruce.

The former Birmingham City man endured a tough start to life back in the Midlands and at one point, was under some very serious pressure to turn things around at the helm.

And whilst promotion might be out of reach this campaign, there's plenty of optimism in the Villa ranks that with a solid summer and pre-season, Villa will be around the chasing pack for the 2017-2018 campaign.

But with a whole transfer window still to come and plenty of incomings and outgoings expected at Villa Park, Steve Bruce certainly has a lot of thinking to do over the coming weeks.

There are plenty of players in this squad that he's inherited and at one point or another, he's going to have to be ruthless to create the side he wants going forward.

So with that in mind, here's THREE Villa stars Bruce will have to make a big decision on this summer...

Gabby Agbonlahor

Saying goodbye to club stalwarts is never an easy thing to do but you'd be hard pressed to find many Villa supporters who don't agree that gabby Agbonlahor's time at Villa Park has come to an end.

He can't get in the first-team, there's questions being asked of his commitment and whether he's even fit enough to play on a regular basis.

There's times when it's best and easiest to cut ties and Bruce should be letting Gabby go this summer.

Micah Richards

A favourite in the doomed Premier League season last year, Micah Richards has barely featured under Steve Bruce and looks a dead cert to leave this summer.

His wages will be significant and if Bruce is to bring more players into the club, he's going to have to get the likes of Richards off the wage bill as soon as possible.

Ross McCormack

Arguably the most difficult decision to be made out of all of these players is over Ross McCormack, whose Villa career was left hanging by a thread this January.

He was shipped out to Nottingham Forest where in hindsight, he hasn't really had too much of an impact and he'll be returning towards the end of May.

Should Bruce keep on a seasoned pro at this level or was the fallout to much to take that he'll let him go? Only time will tell...
