Wolverhampton Wanderers have a big three or four months ahead as not only is their status as a Championship club in jeopardy, but also the squad with many players’ futures in limbo.

Paul Lambert was expected to turn the boat around following the disappointing start to the campaign under the guidance of Italian Walter Zenga, but his time at Blackburn last year as proved very little in terms of his experience to get teams out a relegation scrap; in fact he’s better taking them into one than out.

The club may sit five points above the dreaded drop but, as we know, anything can happen in this division and the boss still needs to get the best out of this squad, which will equate to who stays or departs Molineux this summer.

Of course, much of this Wolves side have shown very little and there will probably be a major overhaul during the transfer window.
