Leeds United youngster Pascal Struijk has been linked with a move away from Elland Road heading into the summer transfer window.
Sport/Voetbal have reported that Belgian sides Anderlecht, Club Brugge, Standard Liege, KRC Genk, and KAA Gent are all interested in signing the defender.
It remains to be seen as to whether any potential deal is for a permanent or loan move though, with Struijk struggling for first-team opportunities with Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
The 20-year-old has been restricted to just two senior appearances for the Whites, and will surely been keen to further his development in senior football with game time at the earliest of opportunities.
Leeds remain well on course to win a long-awaited promotion back into the Premier League this season, with the Yorkshire-based side sat top of the second tier standings with nine games remaining in this year’s campaign.
Plenty of the Elland Road faithful took to ‘The Leeds United Group’, ‘Marching on Together- Leeds United’ and the ‘Leeds United Supporters Group’ on Facebook to issue their thoughts on whether Struijk should be sold permanently or loaned out in the summer.
Take a look at the best of the reaction below….
Geoff Tait: “Loan.”
Gary Clarke: “Keep. Can only get better.”
Michael Plaziuk: “Hopefully a loan to either of those clubs. Little doubt playing for one of them regularly would improve his game.”
Dominic Rushfirth: “Loan him to Brugge. Let him get some European minutes as he’s still young. Looks to be a good talent.”
Liam Jenkins: “He’s decent, just not up to speed with this league.”
Darren Hunter: “He has potential so maybe a loan for a season, then see where he is with his development. Plus his value could increase by then.”
Martin Peters: “Not unless there’s someone coming in that’s better, but I have faith in the bosses choices.”
Steve White: “A season-long loan for me, but Bielsa we trust.”
Chris Brinton: “I think whatever Bielsa thinks.”
