West Brom continue to lead the way in the Championship this season, with Slaven Bilic's side two points clear at the top of the table, ahead of their weekend trip to struggling Stoke City.

One player though who is not currently part of Bilic's first-team plans is midfielder Rekeem Harper, who has had to make do with U23 appearances so far this season.

So should West Brom look to keep, loan or sell Harper in January after a lack of first-team involvement?

We discuss.........

Jacob Potter

"I’m still surprised that he’s not featuring on a more regular basis for the West Brom first team this season.

"Harper really impressed me towards the end of last year’s campaign, but Slaven Bilic clearly thinks he has better options available to him at this moment in time.

"He’s still at a young age though, and I think he’d benefit from a loan move away from the club for the remainder of the season.

"The Baggies can’t afford to have a player of his talent not getting the regular game time he needs to develop in senior football.

"A loan move would be the best move for both parties involved ahead of the January transfer window."

Josh Cole

“After signing a new deal with West Brom in the summer, Harper would have been aiming to force his way into Slaven Bilic’s plans for the immediate future.

“However, due to the form illustrated by the likes of Jake Livermore and Romaine Sawyers, the midfielder has been forced to watch on from the sidelines this season.

“Given that Harper has only made two appearances during the current campaign, it may be beneficial for West Brom to loan him out in the January transfer window.

“Providing that Harper joins a team who can guarantee him first-team football, the 19-year-old may return to the Hawthorns as a much more accomplished player ahead of next season.”

George Harbey

"I think that it would be the best move to let Harper leave on loan in January, along with a number of other fringe players.

"He enjoyed a hugely impressive season under both Darren Moore and Jimmy Shan last term, but managers come and go, and they have their different views and opinions on players.

"Due to the quality West Brom have in their midfield, Harper has found himself twiddling his thumbs on the sidelines, and it doesn't look likely that he will get a game for the Baggies anytime soon.

"It makes all the fiasco in the summer look incredibly pointless right now - have they made a mistake giving him a new deal?"
