Aston Villa goalkeeper Orjan Nyland has posted an update an injury update on social media, saying he is making good progress towards a recovery.
The 28-year-old is currently sidelined with a ruptured Achilles and will remain out for the rest of the season.
The goalkeeper had made 23 appearances for Aston Villa in the Championship this season, keeping six clean sheets.
He suffered the injury in training on December 30 and had to undergo surgery earlier this year.
The Norwegian recently posted this update on his personal Instagram account, showing footage of him working towards his recovery.
Aston Villa fans were quick to show their support for the goalkeeper, sending their best wishes his way.
Nyland had been in questionable form for Villa since arriving at the club form German second tier side FC Ingolstadt 04 in the summer and conceded 34 goals in his 23 league appearances for the club.
He saved a 90th-minute penalty from Swansea City striker Wilfred Bony in a 1-0 win for Villa just days before his injury and will now miss the rest of the campaign.
Jed Steer has started the last five Championship matches in goal for Villa and has kept three clean sheets.
