With Tony Pulis having left the club, it is hard to know exactly what the future holds for Middlesbrough next season but it is one the fans will be looking forward to.

Some news emerged on Tuesday however, regarding some potential summer action at the Riverside with newly-relegated Fulham apparently interested in a move for Boro striker Britt Assombalonga, according to Football Insider.

Scott Parker is apparently in the market for a striker in case they are forced to sell Aleksandar Mitrovic in the transfer window and Assombalonga is seen as an ideal replacement.

So, should Boro cash in on forward?

We discuss...

Gary Hutchinson

“No.

“They should play him, every week, in his favoured role.

“He’s a top Championship striker and he deserves to be playing football.

“His treatment by Pulis was a shambles, he was wasted last season.”

Toby Wilding

"I would be tempted to if I were them.

"Despite being their top scorer, it doesn't really feel as though Assombalonga has set the world alight this season, and a decent fee for him could allow them to strengthen the squad even further in the transfer window.

"It may however be worth getting a new manager in first to establish what he wants to do with the club and which players are in his plans."

George Harbey

"I don’t think they should be forced to cash in at all.

"Assombalonga has ended up as their top scorer for the last two seasons, and that’s without really fitting into Tony Pulis’ style of play.

"Under a new manager, he could score even more goals, and the club could be made to look idiotic if they sold him to a promotion rival and he then scored 20+ goals.

"Keep him at all costs."
