Huddersfield Town entertain Cardiff City at the John Smith’s Stadium tomorrow evening, looking to put further distance between themselves and the Championship relegation zone.

It hasn’t been the return to the second-tier that the Terriers would’ve hoped for, but under Danny Cowley they now find themselves heading back in the right direction, with results improving and six points separating them from the bottom three.

That gap is considerably bigger following two wins in their last three Championship fixtures, which included an impressive 2-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers last time out.

Goals from Elias Kachunga and Steve Mounie secured those vital points for Cowley, and now, full focus is on the visit of Cardiff tomorrow.

But, will Cowley be tempted to make many changes to the side that beat the R’s at the weekend?

We take a look…

Jonas Lossl is highly likely to continue in goal for Cowley after returning to the John Smith’s Stadium and keeping a clean sheet on Saturday.

And, after forcing QPR into a blank, it would be no surprise to see an unchanged defence, with Danny Simpson, Richard Stearman, Christopher Schindler and Harry Toffolo from right to left.

There’s a chance Andy King might come into the midfield pairing, but with Cowley noting how well Lewis O’Brien and Jonathan Hogg performed at the weekend, expect to see them continue, with Emile Smith Rowe ahead of them in the No.10 role.

Cowley is expecting 13-goal ace Karlan Grant to be available for Cardiff’s visit, but after watching his side deal with QPR with relative ease over the weekend, he won’t feel too much pressure to throw him straight back in.

That means Kachunga could play from the right, with Juninho Bacuna from the left once more, leaving Mounie to lead the line, with the powerful striker heading into the fixture on the back of a run of six goals in his last eight Championship appearances.

Mounie’s confidence, combined with Grant potentially coming back onto the bench, gives Huddersfield’s attack an exciting look and despite Cardiff pushing for the play-offs heading into Matchday 32, they will have to be aware of this improving squad.
