Karl Robinson hints at defenders leaving Charlton this January

New Charlton Athletic manager Karl Robinson has hinted at the fact that a few central defenders could be on their way out of the club this January, according to London News Online.

Robinson has acknowledged that the current finge centre backs are unlikely to displace the first choice pairing of Jason Pearce and Patrick Bauer.

Harry Lennon is thought to be set for a January exit with a number of League One and League Two clubs interested in landing the 21-year-old.

Lennon has had a disastrous season for the Addicks, getting a red card in one of this matches and giving away a penalty in the other as he has only featured twice in the league.

Young defender Ezri Konsa could also be on his way out with a number of Premier League clubs reportedly interested in the 19-year-old.

Jorge Teixeira is another option who was frozen out by Russell Slade but featured for Robinson in the FA Cup.

The former Standard Liege defender is a high earner and he might be axed despite Robinson rating him highly.

Roger Johnson is another centre half on the books but has only played in the opening fixture of the season.

Charlton fans – who out of these centre backs would you keep and who would you ditch? Do Lennon and Konsa have a future? Will Teixeira and Johnson stay? Let us know in the comments below…
