Nottingham Forest will be aiming to keep up their recent run of good form when they take on Norwich City tonight in the Championship.

The Reds have really started to gel under manager Aitor Karanka and it shouldn't be any surprise to see them continue to improve over the coming weeks.

For sure, things are looking like they're clicking right now and if they can keep their momentum up for the rest of the campaign they should be able to start 2018/19 brightly.

Undoubtedly, a play-off challenge is the expectation next season and the hard work for that starts now, with Eric Lichaj seemingly up against it at the moment.

Indeed, he has just returned from suspension but with Forest flying, Aitor Karanka has said that it'll be hard for him to get back into the team.

As quoted by the Nottingham Post, Karanka said:

“It is easy to leave the first 11, but it is difficult to get back into it. Because all the players who are playing now are doing really well.

The Spaniard is throwing down the gauntlet to the American, then, but he'll surely feel as though he can overcome it.

The Verdict

This is only fair.

Lichaj has been a loyal servant in recent months and seasons but he cannot expect to walk back into a side especially under Karanka.

It looks as though competition for places is going to be strong at the City Ground.
