Kalvin Phillips has previewed this evening’s clash between Leeds United and Reading on his personal Instagram account.

Leeds head to the Madejski Stadium to take on the inconsistent Royals this evening on a good run of form, having gone six unbeaten and won the last three.

That includes Saturday’s 2-1 triumph over Luton Town, which helped to move the Whites back into the automatic promotion places.

However, they can’t reflect on that outing for too long, with a trip to Reading looming large this Tuesday.

And, Phillips has previewed this evening’s game with an image of Saturday’s team huddle, alongside another post stating: “Big one tonight! Let’s go.”

The 23-year-old featured for 90 minutes on Saturday, stretching his appearance tally to 19 in all competitions in 2019/20.

Providing a shield to the defence, Phillips has shone in midfield and recently earned himself a contract extension at Elland Road, which is set to run through until the summer of 2024.

The Verdict  

On paper, with Leeds second and Reading in 18^th, you’d expect tonight to be going the way of the away side.

However, this is the Championship and Reading are one of the division’s most unpredictable sides.

Phillips clearly acknowledges how important the game is – as per his post – with Leeds having a great opportunity to continue a fine run of form since October’s international break.
