Leeds United ran out comfortable 3-0 winners against relegation-threatened, Reading on Tuesday evening which saw them return to the top of the Championship table.

The Whites were in a ruthless mood on the night and found themselves three goals ahead at the half-time whistle.

Two stunning strikes from Pablo Hernandez and Mateusz Klich's opener were enough for Marcelo Bielsa's side as they returned to the summit.

Leeds midfielder,

Phillips has been a crucial member of Bielsa's squad this season and has been utilised as a makeshift centre-back at times during this season.

But since the injury crisis has improved at Elland Road, he hasn't looked back after returning to his natural CDM role in this Leeds team.

Phillips will be hoping he can continue to build on some impressive performances when Leeds are next in action against Sheffield United this weekend.

It promises to be one of the games of the season, with both teams challenging for an automatic promotion place to the Premier League.

The Verdict:

It was the perfect away performance.

Leeds hardly broke a sweat in the win and they'll fancy their chances of coming away from Elland Road with a positive result against Sheffield United at the weekend.

Phillips has been excellent since returning to his more natural central midfield role.
