Swansea City will be aiming to maintain their unbeaten start to the season when they host Preston North End at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Steve Cooper's side have picked up four points from their opening two matches as they followed up their opening day success over Hull City with a goalless draw against Derby County at Pride Park.

The Welsh club also secured a midweek success over Northampton Town in the Carabao Cup, as Andre Ayew came off the bench to engineer a second-half comeback for the hosts in their eventual 3-1 victory.

But the Swans face tough opponents to continue their unbeaten run, as Alex Neil's side have scored seven goals and conceded none in their two matches since an opening day defeat to Millwall.

So, what side will Cooper name when Preston visit South Wales on Saturday?

Here's the line-up we expect him to go with...

Cooper would have been happy with his side's efforts in getting a valuable point at Pride Park last weekend, so it seems likely he will put his trust in the same players again this time round.

Freddie Woodman was the hero on Saturday as he saved Martyn Waghorn's first-half penalty to keep the scores level, with this meaning he is nailed on to regain his spot between the sticks after Kristoffer Nordfeldt's appearance in midweek. The back four in front of him should revert to the same set-up as that which was deployed last Saturday, with Jake Bidwell and Connor Roberts operating in the full-back roles either side of Joe Rodon and Mike van der Hoorn. Ben Wilmot put in a decent showing at centre-back in midweek, but I think he will need to bide his time before breaking into the side.

Cooper seems fairly comfortable with the centre-midfield duo of Matt Grimes and Jay Fulton, so he should go with the same pairing again on the weekend. This provides the side with a nice balance from the centre of the park as Grimes is capable of driving the side forward with his expansive passing range, while Fulton offers solidity in abundance. Having said that, Fulton also showed his goalscoring touch in pre-season by scoring an unlikely hat-trick against Yeovil Town and he also scored the winning goal during Preston's last trip to the Liberty Stadium in 2018.

Bersant Celina is integral to Swansea's attacking play so he should start in the attacking midfield role, while Aldo Kalulu and Nathan Dyer are likely to feature either side of him. Kalulu did appear to pick up an injury against Derby last weekend and did not feature against Northampton during the week, but the fact the club has not disclosed anything about an injury suggests he should be available for Saturday.

In the striker role, I would expect to see Baston reprise his responsibility in leading Swansea's line after two heard-working performances in the league this season. Sam Surridge was given the chance to start up top in midweek and did fairly well on his Swansea debut, but I think Baston will now be given another opportunity to show what he can do in front of a home crowd. However, I can see both Surridge and Ayew also getting run-outs on Saturday, particularly after Ayew's brace in midweek.
