Kachunga starts: The predicted Bolton Wanderers XI to face Doncaster on Tuesday evening

Last week was a difficult one for Bolton Wanderers as they were knocked out of the FA Cup by non-league Stockport County and then suffered defeat to Wycombe Wanderers in League One.

Luckily for Ian Evatt’s side, they won’t have to wait long for a chance to get back to winning ways as they face Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday evening.

Doncaster are just one place above the bottom of the League One table and have only earned one point away from home this season so Bolton will be favourites when they host them tomorrow evening.

Evatt will not want to underestimate them, however, given Bolton’s recent struggles.

With that in mind, we’ve outlined the XI we expect the Trotters boss to select on Tuesday evening…

There have been question marks about some of his performances recently but Joel Dixon was impressive against Wycombe and the scoreline could’ve been more severe were it not for a few of his saves.

The goalkeeper will likely keep his place against Doncaster behind the same back four that started Saturday’s game, with Alex Baptiste once again used as a makeshift right-back.

Have Bolton Wanderers ever won an away game at each of these 20 stadiums?

Injuries have limited Evatt’s options severely recently and MJ Williams dislocated shoulder is a massive concern.

It’s unclear how long he’ll be out for but he looks set to miss tomorrow’s game, which will mean George Thomason is paired with George Johnston in midfield.

Ahead of them, you feel Evatt will stick with the reliable trio of Oladapo Afalayan, Kieran Lee, and Lloyd Isgrove.

The Bolton boss has suggested he has no plans to rush striker Eoin Doyle back, so we can expect to see Elias Kachunga start again on Tuesday evening.

Even with injuries having ravaged the squad, the home side should have more than enough to get back to winning ways against struggling Doncaster.
