Entering the fixture in search of their third win of the season, Derby County entertained Hull City last night, with Rowett’s men hoping to take advantage of the early kick-off to lay some pressure of their promotion rivals.

Rowett’s men had experienced a steady start to the new campaign, but if Derby are to be considered serious contenders for promotion, then a solid run of form is needed to see the points tally up at Pride Park.

The first half performance against Hull could mark the start of something special, with Gary Rowett’s men a shocking 4-0 up at the break, before Bradley Johnson completed the scoring early in the second half with his second goal of the game.

Hull had possession and chances, but Derby’s explosive finishing blew the visitors away.

Rams fans had their say on Twitter, and as expected, the Pride Park faithful were in an extremely jubilant mood…
