Premier League side Leicester City snapped up Birmingham City youngster Demarai Gray this week, but who is the Foxes new boy?

Demarai Gray looks set to move to Leicester this month

Leicester managed to activate Gray's £3.75 million release clause to bring him to the King Power Stadium, beating a host of Premier League sides to his signature.

Gray was given his Birmingham debut after impressing manager Lee Clarke in training, he was named on the bench for the club's Championship tie against Millwall in October 2013, and came on to replace Jesse Lingard.

His first start came a month later against Charlton Athletic, and a month after that he signed his first professional contract, which was two-and-a-half years long. His first goal came as a substitute against Blackburn Rovers.

Gray really pushed his way into the limelight last season, where he shone under new manager Gary Rowett, scoring a hat-trick against Reading in three of six goals he scored during the season.

Birmingham rebuffed five bids from league leaders Bournemouth during that January, seeing off interest from Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham, as well as European giants Bayern Munich.

Looking at the style of the player, Gray is renowned for his blistering pace, which aids one of his best attributes in dribbling - his pace makes him a fine player on the counter attack, something which Leicester enjoy doing very much.

He also enjoys to cut inside onto his favoured right foot to have a shot, finishing being another one of his best attributes.

Overall, Gray is a fine young talent who's been touched up by many top, top clubs. His £3.75 million fee is an absolute steal. His pace allows him to be a threat on the counter, he's a good dribbler and if you give him an opportunity it's likely he'll finish it off.

Can he now make his way into an already strong Foxes side? Only time will tell.
