It’s fair to say most Sunderland fans aren’t too disappointed with Rotherham signing Billy Jones after his release from the Stadium of Light.
The defender signed a two-year deal with the Championship new-boys and became Rotherham’s fourth summer signing ahead of the new season.
Jones only managed 19 appearances for the Black Cats during their second successive relegation season.
The 31-year-old now moves back to the Championship with the Yorkshire club.
During his 94 appearances over four season’s in the north-east, Jones enjoyed three years in the Premier League.
Rotherham have now added the defender to their ranks as manager Paul Warne continues to strengthen his side after promotion to the Championship via the League One play-offs.
But Sunderland supporters have been quick to jump on the news of the defender’s arrival at The Millers.
Here are some of the comments that the League One side’s fans have made after news broke that Jones had joined Rotherham.
Thoughts and prayers are with the people of Rotherham.

I wouldn't have kept him for 3 Freddo's and 5 packets of Smarties a week.

Testament to the man however thanks for the service. I just couldn’t bare to watch him for another season. Well done all involved. Clean slate and all that.
