Sheffield United had the chance to break into the top half of the Championship table last night, with the majority of second-tier matches coming today.

The Blades, who welcomed a Millwall side who have been below-par at present, were unable to keep the points in Yorkshire, eventually losing out 2-1.

Jed Wallace opened the scoring after just 11 minutes, when his cross-cum-shot arrowed straight past Robin Olsen and into the top corner.

The Yorkshire club reacted well to the early setback, but had to wait until the stroke of half time to find a leveller. The goal came when John Fleck was dragged down in the box and Billy Sharp stepped up to restore parity.

With The Blades starting the second half brightly, their momentum was quickly halted when Morgan Gibbs-White received a second yellow card.

He was given his marching orders in the 55th minute when he was booked for trying to deceive the referee with a dive.

Both sides had opportunities to win the game as the second half wore on, but it was eventually The Lions who secured all three points in the dying stages.

Millwall centre-back Jake Cooper was afforded lots of time one the edge of The Blades' box, before unleashing an effort into the bottom corner.

Here, we take a look at how Sheffield United fans have reacted on Twitter to Morgan Gibbs-White's red card...
