A number of Ipswich Town supporters were left frustrated with the performance of forward James Norwood following the Tractor Boys’ latest goalless draw in League One against Shrewsbury Town.

Paul Cook’s side were once again unable to find a breakthrough which means they have now drawn six of their last ten matches 0-0. That has seen them endure a difficult ending to the campaign and fall well short of a place in the top-six. The performance at Shrewsbury was a little better and more positive though than some of the other displays in recent weeks.

One player who endured a frustrating evening for Ipswich was Norwood, with the forward having got into some decent positions at times but then failed to take advantage of those with his end product. The 30-year-old was also wasteful at times with the ball and did not manage to link the play as well as Cook would have been hoping for.

Norwood managed to have just one attempt on target and was also guilty of giving the ball away on eight occasions throughout the game (Sofascore). He worked hard and at times Ipswich did not give him the right service, but it was a performance that will have raised some questions over whether he is the right player to lead the line for them next term.

Many Ipswich fans were suggesting that Norwood might not be the man to rely upon to score their goals upfront in League One next term.

Here then, we take a look at some of the best reactions on social media…
