Bolton Wanderers are having what could generously be described as a tricky summer and it took another twist on Wednesday afternoon.

As the saga surrounding the takeover of the Trotters rumbles on, what is left of the first-team have taken immediate action by refusing to play in tonight's scheduled friendly with Chester after further issues with pay arose.

There are only seven first-team players remaining in the club's squad with a mass exodus of stars occuring this summer.

Last season saw the club convincingly relegated from the Championship, with only Ipswich Town finishing below them and they will now start their third-tier return rock-bottom after being hit with a 12-point deduction after going into administration in May.

Further punishment could well be on its way as well after they failed to fulfil their home fixture with Brentford.

Right now, things are looking bleak once again for the club's fans and it is no surprise that the fans are furious...
