Sheffield Wednesday’s dismal run of form continued as they were beaten 3-1 by Derby County at Hillsborough on Saturday afternoon.
Garry Monk’s side found themselves three goals down after just 30 minutes, and despite a consolation goal from Josh Windass, they failed to take anything from the game.
It means that Monk’s men now only have one win in their last eight matches in the Championship, which has firmly put the pressure on the former Leeds and Birmingham manager.
Speaking in a post-match press conference after the defeat to the Rams on Saturday at Hillsborough, Monk insisted that time is still needed before he can be judged.
“I’ve found myself in the position a number of times where I’ve been forced to make changes early because it hasn’t been good enough. It’s clear what needs to be done and it’s a process that will take time.”
Plenty of Sheffield Wednesday supporters took to social media to react to Monk’s comments on the predicament he is currently facing.
Take a look at the best of the reaction from Twitter below….
When are we going to blame this overpaid, ageing squad? I'm expecting three wins and new contracts come the end of the season and Xmas holidays for all again next.

A worry that it has happened a number of times to Monk. Needs to be looking at himself as well

Roll on the end of season proper embarrassing now. Sorry Monk sad to say you have not got the changing room or ever had. Change needs to come soon with all involved with our club #badtines

That's probably why you keep getting sacked

Same old excuses, different game. Time to go Monk. There was a manager sat in the @GilletteSoccerS panel today who'll give these so called "players" a kick up the backside and that's Warnock.
