‘Just leave’, ‘Same old excuses’ – These Sheffield Wednesday fans are furious with key figure’s comments
Sheffield Wednesday’s dismal run of form continued as they were beaten 3-1 by Derby County at Hillsborough on Saturday afternoon.
Garry Monk’s side found themselves three goals down after just 30 minutes, and despite a consolation goal from Josh Windass, they failed to take anything from the game.
It means that Monk’s men now only have one win in their last eight matches in the Championship, which has firmly put the pressure on the former Leeds and Birmingham manager.
Speaking in a post-match press conference after the defeat to the Rams on Saturday at Hillsborough, Monk insisted that time is still needed before he can be judged.
“I’ve found myself in the position a number of times where I’ve been forced to make changes early because it hasn’t been good enough. It’s clear what needs to be done and it’s a process that will take time.”
