The Joe Bryan saga of the 2018 summer transfer window is expected to come to a close in the coming weeks.
Bryan is expected to leave Ashton Gate this summer with just one year left on his contract with a host of clubs still chasing the left-back's signature.
Newcastle United were the favourites to sign him until Bristol Live revealed yesterday that Wolverhampton Wanderers had entered the race for his signature.
Wolves are looking for other left-back options after a deal to bring in Manchester City's Oleksandr Zinchenko hit a stumbling block.
Bryan made 43 Championship appearances for the Robins last season and has been become an integral member in their squad.
But would he be a good signing for newly promoted Wolves?
We discuss...
Gary Hutchinson
Underwhelming for the fans perhaps, but a good solid player on an upward trajectory.
My concern would be game time, it would be a shame to see a promising player fade because he's stuck on the bench.
George Dagless
He'd be a good asset.
He's capable of playing as a wing-back and obviously has great delivery with his left-foot.
He bombs up and down and would bring plenty to the Molineux club.
Jay Williams
If I were Wolves, I would ignore the possibility of all of these possible left-wing-backs coming in and keep Barry Douglas.
It does not make any sense to try to upgrade on someone who was such a vital cog in their promotion push.
Bryan is an excellent young wing-back but he's not worth losing Douglas for.
Jay Taylor
It would be a good signing, but he is not as good as Barry Douglas.
With the current Wolves left-back on the verge of joining Leeds, the Premier League side will need a replacement.
Bryan was heroic for Bristol City last year but he isn’t at the level Douglas was last term.
It wouldn’t be a great signing in relation to what they have already done this summer, but it will be a necessary one after the impending departure of the Scottish defender.
He would have a big hole in the Bristol City back-line were he to opt for a move to Molineux.
