Garry Monk's Birmingham side were left frustrated as they were held to a thrilling 3-3 draw against relegation threatened Hull City at the weekend.

The draw has seen the Blues suffer a minor dip in form, having previously been ten games unbeaten in the Championship, but there was certainly one positive that Birmingham fans can take from the game.

That positive is the form shown by Che Adams.

The striker netted a hat-trick but despite his best efforts, his side were forced to settle for a point which will frustrate Monk who will be keen for his side to get back on track with their quest for a play-off position this season.

The strike partnership of Adams and Lucas Jutkiewicz has been the main reason that Birmingham have mounted a challenge towards the top six and it's clear to see why.

The pair have scored 17 goals between them and with Birmingham only scoring 23 goals in total this season in the Championship, their influence in the Blues side is a huge one.

Birmingham have the perfect balance up-front with Adams' pace complimenting Jutkiewicz's aerial ability proving to be a real threat this season.

Garry Monk will be hoping that they can keep hold of the pair, with Adams in particular likely to be a man in demand after a number of impressive performances this season.

But he will be keen to see the other members of the Birmingham squad step up and provide the team with some goals. The next top goalscorer in the side, apart from Adams and Jutkiewicz, is a number of players stuck on one goal, including the likes of Jota and Gary Gardner.

If Birmingham are to lose one of their star men, then we could potentially see the Blues slide down the table, which is certainly a real possibility, so if they are to have any play-off ambitions, Monk will do everything he can to convince the pair to stay at the club.

Birmingham take on bitter local rivals Aston Villa after the international break and they will be keen to bounce back from a dip in recent performances.
