Nottingham Forest have had a torrid time of things this season, but the recent appointment of their new manager could mean for a change of the tide at the City Ground.

Forest marginally escaped relegation last season, but since undergoing the current campaign with the guidance of Mark Warburton it's displayed the same inconsistencies of the last.

With them currently sat in 14th position, they find themselves in no mans land with an impossible task of making anything of a play-off place.

However, the recent appointment of former Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka after Warburton's sacking, will go along way to helping the side recover. A man that's guided Boro to promotion into the Premier League.

But, challenges don't come much tougher than facing Aston Villa at the City Ground for your first game in charge, so Karanka will be hoping to set things straight in the few days prior to their encounter.

Nevertheless, after taking a tour around the stadium yesterday. Their new manager took to his personal Twitter account (@Karanka) to state that he is here to defend the badge, and make everyone proud.

Following the post, Forest fans were quick to welcome their new manager, as they looked excited at the prospect of him leading their side to victory.

So without further ado, here's a look at exactly what supporters thought of the manager's message...
