Leeds United have had an excellent season so far under Garry Monk, and following another excellent win at the weekend look well on course to make the playoffs.

The former Swansea manager has done an excellent job of bringing in new players and blending them well with players already at the club, and this mix has proved a successful combination for the Elland Road club.

Leeds have an excellent squad now, with players fighting for positions all across the squad, something which can be a very healthy thing indeed.

However, as with a lot of clubs, there are quite a few players at Leeds who could be on the chopping board as the season nears its end.

With this thought in mind, FLW writer Lee Connor has taken a look at TWO Leeds United players who Garry Monk should be looking to axe ASAP...

Marcus Antonsson

The big Swedish striker only signed for the club last summer, but his time with Leeds has not been as successful as it initially promised to be in the opening weeks of the season.

Antonsson has struggled for form and minutes on the pitch, with the form of Chris Wood not helping him. Garry Monk could well look to cash in on Antonsson, and a move back to his homeland might be something which is a possibility this summer.

Lee Erwin

The former Motherwell man has never really got going at Leeds, and with a year left on his contract, he could well be shipped out permanently by Monk this summer.

Erwin is currently on loan with League One Oldham, and has so far failed to massively impress there too. He is not good enough for Leeds at the moment, and Garry Monk would be well within his rights to move Erwin on.
