Leeds United host Sheffield United at Elland Road this weekend, in a game which could go a long way in deciding which direction their season heads in.
Yorkshire Evening Post’s Phil Hay revealed that Marcelo Bielsa was playing down the importance of the game against their promotion rivals this weekend.
Presser ends with an apology from Bielsa for him (or Lamrani) being late (by about a minute). Didn't have too much to say today. Certainly not hyping this game up. #lufc

The Leeds boss evidently is looking to keep the pressure off of his players heading into such a crucial game, which will almost certainly define their season.
The Whites will know that they can pull five points away from the Blades with a win on the day, and it would leave their Premier League destiny in their own hands.
But a defeat couldn’t come at a worse time, with their promotion hopes being out of their own hands at such a crucial stage of the season.
With Bielsa not hyping the game up this weekend, it certainly raised a talking point amongst supporters.

They are right to play it down. Just another three points… it’s important not to blow the result out of proportion – a win would be massive however – but a draw or even a loss keeps us very close to 2nd and I think both teams and Norwich will drop points in the run in. #MOT

Too right, it’s just another game. We hyped Norwich up too much and completely flapped it

No naming team before "the game of the season" makes perfect sense

Spot on Marcelo who will treat this just as one of the 46 games & sure he’ll warn players about being wound up by opponents. Need likes of Kalvin & Alioski to keep cool heads #lufc

Why are people still going on about naming the team? The. Tactics. Don’t. Change.

Perspective. Bielsa is right. People building it up as the biggest game in decades are wrong imo.

Jansson was over the top tbh, it is important but we still have 8 games left afterwards. Bielsa is spot on #lufc
