Cardiff City winger Junior Hoilett was the star man this weekend for his country, as Canada saw off Cuba 6-0.

The former QPR man was in fine form for his country as he rattled in a hat-trick to lead his nation to a massive win at home, and Hoilett was clearly delighted to contribute so heavily to the cause.

The winger was also named captain for the tie and proved to be every bit the leader as Canada dominated Cuba, and he was quick to take to social media to display his pride following the win.

Hoilett is clearly the best player in the Canadian team and will be hoping to continue the fine form he showed this weekend when he returns to Cardiff City duty next weekend.

The Bluebirds have had an inconsistent start to life back in the second tier in what is going to be Neil Warnock's last season in management.

If a promotion push is to be enjoyed by the Welsh club, then they will need Hoilett firing on all cylinders and delivering the sort of performances he put on this weekend for his country.
