In-demand Birmingham City teenager Jude Bellingham has aimed a jibe at Blues teammate Lee Camp on Twitter after the goalkeeper was knocked out of the Football Manager 20 EFL Cup last night.

The EFL season was suspended two months ago today and though it is understood pivotal meetings will be held today about the conclusion of the 2019/20 season, clubs have had to find inventive ways to keep their fans entertained.

One such way is the Football Manager 20 EFL Cup, a knock-out competition which sees EFL teams – either managed by a fan, a celebrity fan, or a player – face off against each other on the game in matches that are broadcast live.

Camp took the reigns as the Blues manager and led them to the quarter-final stage before losing 4-3 to Swansea City last night, having dropped Bellingham from his side for the game.

It appears the 16-year-old was not impressed and took to Twitter to hit back at his teammate after the game.

Bellingham's emergence at St Andrew's has been one of the talking points of the Championship this season.

The midfielder was handed his debut by Pep Clotet at the start of the campaign and has become a regular fixture in the first team – making 35 appearances in total and grabbing four goals and three assists.

The Verdict

Bellingham's rise this season has been phenomenal but his Twitter presence would suggest that he remains a down to earth young man.

It appears the 16-year-old has also developed a good relationship with the rest of the squad, as this little jibe on Twitter indicates.

The teenager has been linked with moves to some of the biggest clubs in Europe, so it looks like it could be a very interesting summer for him.
