Leeds United fans are eager to see their side start signing some players this summer with Marcelo Bielsa arriving at the club last week.

The appointment of the Argentine took a while to complete but it's all over the line now and fans will be looking forward to seeing what their new manager can bring to the side.

Certainly, big-name signings are being hoped for but, as yet, no deals are even close to being completed - reducing fans to trying to reach out to journalists for information.

That is what has happened with Phil Hay recently, then, with a fan asking whether Robert Snodgrass could arrive.

It looks, though, as though there is no chance of that happening with Hay snuffing the rumour out with a pretty blunt reply:

Snodgrass is unlikely to be joining Leeds this summer, then, and fans will hope that doesn't prove the case for other top players.

The Verdict

This shouldn't be much of a surprise.

Snodgrass showed last season that he's a class act and more than good enough to be playing Premier League football.

Leeds are obviously feeling ambitious this summer but money rules and if they cannot afford him they'll need to look elsewhere.
