The transfer window may have already slammed shut but Leeds United still found time afterwards to announce another done deal earlier today.

Thomas Christiansen and the powers that be at Elland Road have had a clear focus on a transfer strategy of buying up young talent and letting them develop in the Under 23 team.

The Whites have announced the signing of 17-year-old Jordan Stevens of Forest Green Rovers to continue that approach on.

Journalist Adam Pope has taken to Twitter to give Leeds fans an idea of the ballpark cost of the deal, and the cost of signing Stevens may surprise some.

The Verdict

Obviously the price bracket quoted is pretty broad and the figures vary quite substantially but if Leeds have paid anything near the top of this bracket, it seems like a pricey deal for someone who is so young.

He has the tools to go on and be a good player but if he's cost anywhere close to £1m, there will be added pressure on him to succeed.
