Leeds United winger Jack Clarke is scheduled to miss training this week and undergo more tests after falling unwell against Middlesbrough at the weekend, reports Yorkshire Evening Post's Joe Urquhart.

The 18-year old was taken off just after half-time for Pablo Hernandez, but paramedics were called over as the youngster fell unwell and collapsed on the bench. Subsequently, 11 minutes was added on at the end of the game, as Clarke was carried away on a stretcher whilst receiving oxygen.

Thankfully, however, the wide-man was released from hospital on Sunday morning and left "happy and smiling", as Leeds snatched a late equaliser deep into injury time thanks to Kalvin Phillips.

The latest update, provided by Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Joe Urquhart, claims that Clarke is scheduled to miss training this week, and undergo more tests as staff try to figure out what caused the initial incident.

The result at the Riverside means that Leeds still sit at the top of the Championship despite winning only two of their last seven league games, but Norwich City have the opportunity to leapfrog them into top spot on Sunday afternoon should they defeat Ipswich Town at Carrow Road.

The Verdict

It is great to see that all is well regarding Clarke, as it could have been a lot more serious - it certainly looked that way when all them paramedics crowded round the dugout.

Of course, it is a blow that he will miss training this week, but it is for the best, as people need to get to the bottom of what caused the incident.

You cannot deny Leeds' spirit and determination, and that point could prove very important come the end of the season.
