Premier League side Huddersfield Town are currently the highest bidders for Charlton Athletic star Karlan Grant, according to reports from reliable journalist Alan Nixon.

The 21-year old has been in impressive form for the Addicks this season, scoring 14 goals and producing four assists for a Charlton side that have promotion from League One well in their sights.

The talented forward has recently been linked with moves to Sky Bet Championship duo Millwall and Brentford, with Premier League side Huddersfield Town also being linked with a move to pursue the attacker's signature.

But reports from Nixon claim that the Terriers are currently the highest bidders for Grant, after submitting a £1.5million bid for the prolific forward, which Nixon also claims is "too rich" for Millwall.

Brentford have dropped massively down the table following the departure of Dean Smith to Aston Villa, but have recently picked up under Thomas Frank after going unbeaten in their last six games.

Millwall, on the other hand, are still looking to fight off any fears of relegation - Neil Harris' men currently sit six points clear of the drop zone to League One, but have now seemingly pulled out of the race to land Grant, going off this recent development from Nixon.

The Verdict

This is a very interesting development.

£1.5million, to me, is an absolute bargain for Grant - he can play anywhere across the front-line, and has contributed to plenty of goals this term.

I think a move to Brentford would best suit him, however, as I just don't think he's ready for the top flight just yet.
