Bristol City are set to target moves for full-backs this summer, according to Bristol Live.

With the football season currently suspended, the Robins are said to be busy making plans for this summer in a bid to strengthen their squad.

The report states that left and right full-back is a priority this summer, while they will also look to sign reinforcements at central defensive midfield.

Lee Johnson's side are currently seventh in the Championship table and can still make the playoffs, but have seen their form tail off in recent weeks.

Potential targets include the Benfica man that has spent this season on loan at Ashton Gate Pedro Pereira and Crewe Alexandra man Perry Ng.

At left-back City have Jay Dasilva and Tommy Rowe, but the report argues that that this will not stop them making a move in the summer.

Meanwhile, Wigan Athletic’s Joe Williams is said to no longer be a target in central midfield, despite the Robins previously holding an interest in the former Everton man.

The verdict

Johnson and his side will be disappointed with how their season has fallen away in recent weeks, but promotion remains possible.

Whether they achieve it or not, additions in the summer are necessary and seeing them putting in early plans is a promising sign.

With Nahki Wells arriving in January and some young players emerging the signs are exciting, but they must execute and secure their targets this summer.
