Respected journalist Phil Hay has revealed that Gaetano Berardi is a doubt for this weekend's fixture with Millwall, after picking up a knee injury in the hard-fought draw with Middlesbrough.

Hay has tweeted that the 30-year old may miss the first match back after the international break, but he has some good news for Leeds fans too.

Pablo Hernandez, missing since the 3-0 destruction of Norwich City, is back in training.

The 33-year-old has been one of Bielsa's best performers this season, scoring three in five, but has missed the last two matches.

There's also news on Adam Forshaw, who hasn't featured since the end of last season. The 26-year old winger is now nearing match fitness and is pushing to be in contention for the clash with the Lions.

One player also unlikely to make the trip is Patrick Bamford. He picked up an injury playing for the U23 side last week and Hay has responded to an enquiry over his fitness by revealing that he 'doesn't see' Bamford being involved in the fixture.

The Verdict

Losing any players at all is a blow, but Berardi has been excellent this season and his absence will be felt. They shouldn't struggle to fill the gap he leaves though, Pontus Jansson and Liam Cooper will make a great replacement pairing.

They'll be delighted to get Hernandez back though. He's been pulling the strings for them and has arguably been their best player so far this season.
