Journalist Ian Abrahams has taken to his personal Twitter account to give his thoughts on the Sky Bet Championship Team of the Season, stating he would have left out Leeds United forward Chris Wood.

Wood is the Championship’s leading goalscorer this season, having found the net on 24 occasions, including twice in Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion.

The New Zealand international is named alongside Glenn Murray and Dwight Gayle in attack, in the official Team of the Season.

Abrahams’ team contains many changes from the 11 announced, including the inclusion of Tom Cairney, who he describes as the best midfielder in the Championship, but most notably the exclusion of Wood for Tammy Abraham.

Abraham has been on-loan with Bristol City from Chelsea this season, and has scored 19 goals for the Robins, despite them fighting relegation.

Both Murray and Gayle remained in Abrahams’ team, but alongside City’s Abraham in attack.

Leeds fans… What do you make of Abrahams’ claim that Wood shouldn’t make the Team of the Season? Let us know in the comments!
