Leeds United are reeling a bit at the moment after they were dumped out of the FA Cup by Newport County at the weekend.

The men from Elland Road started this weekend probably feeling as though they could beat the Welsh side once again after cruising past them in the League Cup earlier this season.

They went in front, too, but eventually succumbed to a 2-1 defeat and many players at the club will surely feel as though they blew their chance to make an impression.

With that in mind, then, new arrivals will be being thought about at the moment and it also looks as though Yosuke Ideguchi is going to be given his work permit after all.

Even so, though, he is still set to go out on loan to Spanish side Cultural Leonesa - as per Phil Hay on Twitter:

Ideguchi had looked as though his work permit was going to be left until the new season but it seems as though they FA is going to bring it forward.

Despite that, though, Leeds appear as though they will not take advantage of the decision.

The Verdict

This is a strange decision if true.

Leeds could do with the Japanese midfielder's extra industry but instead they are willing to let him go to the Spanish side regardless.
