Wolves have made serious moves in the transfer market since Fosun International completed their purchase of the club and could be set to make another statement signing.

Since the Chinese conglomerate bought the club, Wolves have broken set several club-record transfer dealings. Firstly, Ivan Cavaleiro joined for £7m, before Helder Costa made a loan move permanent in January for £13m.

In the previous summer transfer window, they eclipsed that with a £15.8m purchase of Ruben Neves from Porto, but they could be set to go one further this January.

According to James Marshment, an editor at TEAMtalk, Wolves are poised to announce a club-record £20m signing today.

Whilst no name has been mentioned, there have been rumours that the club will try to make Diogo Jota's loan move from Atletico Madrid permanent. The Portuguese international has been a key player for Nuno Espirito Santo's men, who top the league after a fine start to the season.

They have also been linked with Rafa Silva and Joao Carvalho from Benfica over recent weeks, although no fees were mentioned.

Further reports this weekend outlined how Wolves plan to make a serious impact on the Premier League should they get promoted, with the owners having very serious plans for the club.

The Verdict

Wolves fans will be delighted with the news and the direction the club is heading.

Even though the owners links with Jorge Mendes have been heavily scrutinised in the press, the super-agent has done wonders for Wolves.

The likes of Neves and Jota have been pivotal to the club's excellent start and fans will be excited at what the January window, and the future, could hold.
